TAKE ON THE TIGER.

Competitive eating is something I’ve always kind of wanted to do but have avoided up until now. Tonight I got to Take On The Tiger at the new (and very much improved) Haymarket Grill at Tiger Tiger London. I’ve got to be honest, I really wasn’t expecting much in terms of the burger and Tiger Tiger isn’t really the first place I think of when I want to go for a meal but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was.

We were greeted with a Tiger Punch to gear us up for the beast of a burger that was to come. Brioche bun, beef patty, chicken breast, bacon, cheese, onion rings, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and burger sauce accompanied by crispy sweet potato fries and coleslaw (which is the only thing I didn’t eat). You also get a Budweiser and a Jack Daniels to wash it all down.

If you want to channel Adam Richman for a night but can’t quite handle the Tripple Chilli Challenges of the world then I’d give this a go as a starting point. I did it with complete and utter ease and I’m pretty sure I’d have beaten anyone who dared challenge me but I’ve had a lot of practice when it comes to demolishing burgers and I’m proud to say I’m pretty good at it.

Good luck.
