I went to Amsterdam over New Years with my galdem for some NYE14 fun. We ate a LOT. Here are some of the things we did and all of the things we ate. We ate lots. (And lots and lots and lots).
The breakfast in the above images was without a doubt my greatest Amsterdam food experience EVER. Possibly even my best brunch experience of all time ever and definitely my best Mexican eggs experience to date. Paper Planes is a pop-up so it may not be there when you next visit. This means you should probably book your flights now and eat every single meal in the comfort of their beautiful restaurant. Paper Planes is off to Paris next and I think I want to go with. The ‘Bloody Harry’ AKA a bacon laced, banging Bloody Mary, was the highlight of my trip. It really doesn’t get much better than that. I haven’t got a single negative word to say about the place and I’m seriously considering starting a petition to get them to London. I love you Paper Planes. I really do.
‘Everything on a Stick‘ was an interesting culinary experience. I was a little disappointed that not EVERYTHING was actually on a stick and a bit confused as to why there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant but the food was good value for money and I left feeling VERY full. The ‘tornado potatoes’ were the winner for me, JUST LOOK AT THEM!
Basically Nutella waffles, Febo chicken fingers & krokets, cheese, hot Chocomel, cold Chocomel, cheese, white chocolate covered Oreos, Paprika crisps, Looza Juice, New York Pizza, Space Cakes, Wok to Walk, Barney’s… I AM SO FAT.
