Night Tales is a pop up event that’s been taking place every weekend for the last couple of months in Abbott Street car park in Dalston. It’s last weekend is this weekend so cancel your plans and make sure you show your face because I’m pretty sure it’s better than anything you’ve already got going on. Night Tales labels itself as a “pop up venture combining food, experimental bar culture and nightlife” and that’s exactly what it is. You go, you get drunk, you eat amazing food and you socialise. The setting is amazing, it’s all fairy lights, big round beds to sit on and sick music. You can’t go wrong really and with the addition of the best burger joint of all time, Patty & Bun, it really is the best place to spend a cold winter night. When you go, make sure you stuff your face with the following: Patty & Bun’s Jazzy Jeffery burger, Bao’s steamed pork bun and Butchies lemony, garlic fried chicken burger the Dale Cooper! It was all divine and I haven’t stopped thinking about going back and eating it all again for a third time. The atmosphere is buzzing, even from 6pm it’s busy and everyone’s having a wonderful time. It’s not pretentious or painfully hipster either, it’s just ridiculously fun and enjoyable and I wish more than anything that it didn’t have to end. Oh and Eddie the bar man is a dream, get down there this Thursday/Friday/Saturday and experience it all for yourselves!
