SUMOSAN.

My mother is one very special woman. Those of you that have had the pleasure of meeting her will know what I mean. Those that haven’t, I don’t even have the words to sum her up. Last Thursday we celebrated the anniversary of her 20 years in the events industry. The lovely people at Sumosan hosted the evening in their restaurant on Albamarle Street and oh my gaaaaaad it was delicious. I’ve not had good sushi in such a long time, I actually didn’t know what to do with myself. It’s safe to say I was drunk off the ridiculously yummy cocktails so when the food started coming round I quite literally couldn’t help myself but to stuff my face with anything that came in my direction. There was an abundance of tasty little bite size treats but the bits that stuck out to me the most were the hot wasabi mayonnaise king prawns and the sushi. I could have eaten and eaten until it was time to leave but I had to ensure I left enough for the other guests. The prawns were sublime, it was something about the warm wasabi mayonnaise that just did silly things inside my mouth! The sushi on a stick (something I’ve been harping on about for years now) was genius and it was quite possibly the most amazing sushi I’ve ever consumed in my entire life. I need to go back for a proper meal. I hear they do a sushi/salmon pizza that is to die for and I don’t want to wait too long before having another one of those prawns in my mouth! See you soon Sumosan!
