DISCO BISTRO ROLLER DISCO.

I’m going to start by saying that once you’ve read this post you’re going to head over to THIS WEBSITE to book your tickets for Skate Kings Cross. Last night, I was invited to the launch party and can probably quite safely say it was the most fun I’ve had on a Thursday, EVER. It’s only a pop up, so if you’re going to go, you’ve got two months and I imagine its going to be busy so book tickets. Trust me. If you ever remember going to roller discos as a teenager then you’ll know how ridiculously fun it is skating round in circles trying your hardest not to fall and kill yourself. It always adds a bit of excitement to the evening when there’s a high risk of breaking bones. This roller disco is slightly different from the ones I’ve been to in my time though, situated in what’s becoming one of the coolest areas of London, not far from Kings Cross station, this little pop up is going to be THE place to spend your evenings this summer. I never venture into Kings Cross so I didn’t know they had renovated it into such an amazing place but I was in awe of everything I saw from when I got off the train to when I arrived at the venue. It didn’t stop there though, the roller disco itself is ridiculous and everything else they’ve got going on was a joke. Obviously by this, I mean the food. Currently they’ve got Disco Bistro serving up a menu of burgers (with pineapple and bacon jam), a veggie burger (with deep fried Brie), buttermilk fried chicken wings, fries and popcorn. Everything I ate was insane. I’ve been wanting to try Disco Bistros food for a long time now and I feel like it actually could not have been better. The chicken wings were hands down, no questions asked, the best chicken wings to ever grace my lips and the fact that I only had two is so upsetting. The burger dripped down my arms (in a good way) and the fries were extra crispy. Unfortunately I didn’t get to sample the veggie burger, which makes me sad, but ill definitely be back so it doesn’t matter. The rusty mule cocktails that were flowing all evening were sensational and although I’m regretting it this morning, I really enjoyed them last night. The Lick Me I’m Delicious ice cream that I’ve been wanting to try for months was the absolutely bollocks. They use some sort of dry ice machine and make it in front of you, the choices are a salted caramel white chocolate cupcake or a popping candy chocolate cone. I mean come on, it genuinely doesn’t get better than that. The whole night felt like someone had gone inside my brain and created a dream world for me, so I’m very thankful that I got to experience it. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING about it gets a 10/10, especially the staff. Tom the assistant manager deserves an extra pat on the back for making our night as brilliant as it was and David, THANK YOU for making it all possible. Now everybody stop what your doing and book tickets (and if you’re my friend I want to come too!)
